The capital: Turin

Turin is often underestimated because there is something to discover! With a city walk you visit the Piazza Castello with the Palazzo Madama which fascinates by its beautiful facade. On the other side of the square there is the king's palace, the Palazzo Real. But the highlight of the city is the Mole Antoneliana. With a lift you go to the view platform from which you can enjoy an impressive look over the city and its surroundings. Afterwards you visit the Italian film museum which is in the same building.

Not far from Turin there is the king's residence, the Venaria Reale. It is about one of the most important residences of the house Savoy in Piedmont with a beautiful park which is also mentioned Italian Versailles.

Monferrato - Asti

With a panoramic trip over the Basso Monferrato area you have the opportunity to enjoy and visit the capital of the Montefarrato, the so-called city of 100 towers. As soon as you get in Asti, you discover with a half-day city tour the cathedral with the bell tower, the rotunda of San Pietro, the collegiate church of San Secondo and the birthplace of the writer Vittorio Alifieri. Naturally you may also have the possibility to taste the well-known “Moscato d’Asti” in one of the bars in the city centre.

 

Panoramic trip through the Langhe area

Today expects you the Highlight of the journey - a round trip through the hills on the Langhe area with its panorama view. You will travel through several idyllic lying places like Castiglione Falletto, Monforte d'Alba, Verduno and Brà with enough time for one or more photo stop: fantastic views over the vineyards and valleys of the piedmont landscape draw the way.

In Barolo you visit the famous Castello Falletti and may smell and taste afterwards in an Enoteca, why the piedmont wine has really earned its good reputation. 

A visit to the castle Grinzane Cavour, the former domicile of the count Camillo Benso, cannot be lacking. You visit the apartments of the count and the Ethnographic museum. The castle offers moreover the first regional Enoteca of Piedmont, where you can also acquire the world-well-known Barolo wine of course. Taste of the culinary highlights of this journey with a uniquely exquisite dinner in a typical restaurant.

 

Alba - world of wine, and Truffle

Alba is known for the typical white truffle, the "Tartufo d'Alba". Your tour leader will introduce you a little in the history all around this expensive treasure of the nature. With a half-day walk through the city you discover first the Piazza del Risorgimento - the heart of the city - with the town hall and the cathedral of San Lorenzo. Near the statue of the Saint Lorenzo the cathedral shows also an original bell from the 12th century. Feel like in the middle Ages if you saunter by the arcades in Via Cavour. Alba is known not only for the truffle, but also for all kinds of other culinary delights. Here belongs the famous Ferrero Firm which produces the Mon Chèrie bonbons with the churches of Piedmont. Let the evening end with a glass of wine at a typical Italian Enoteca!
